stills flagship store by doepel strijkers















Clothes and accessories are ensconced in an elaborate lattice of wood at an Amsterdam boutique designed by Dutch studio Doepel Strijkers. The white-painted grid branches into every corner of the two-storey store, which operates as the flagship for fashion brand Stills.

b&b italia showroom by pitsou kedem


















Israeli architects Pitsou Kedem have completed a showroom for furniture brand B&B Italia inside an industrial warehouse by the harbour in Tel Aviv. Silicate panels line the western wall of the 11-metre-high hall, while other interior walls are clad in concrete panels. A deep-framed entrance leads visitors inside, where a rusted metal staircase climbs up to a narrow mezzanine that bridges the full width of the showroom.

Australian practice March Studio conceived this Melbourne bakery as an oversized breadbasket.  The undulating wooden slats that cover the rear wall and ceiling of the shop function as shelves for storing and displaying breads of different shapes and sizes.

Nikefuel station at boxpark











 Sports brand Nike have opened an east London store where shoppers can see themselves reflected on motion-sensitive LED walls. Named NikeFuel Station, the store is located at Boxpark, a temporary shopping centre made from shipping containers in Shoreditch, in the London borough of Hackney.

juliet by benjamin hubert for poltrona frau









this armchair with a pleated leather seat by London designer Benjamin Hubert was inspired by sleeves with puffed shoulders on Italian Renaissance clothing. The Juliet chair features leather stretched over the base to expose the wooden frame underneath, while the seat is covered in squashy leather pleated in a triangular pattern.

The office was designed by Sid Lee Architecture of Montreal and Amsterdam. The theme of the space is duality and polarity - reason and intuition, light and dark, art and business, public and private. Much of the space is undefined, seemingly unfinished, with a feel of street culture and the rough edges of the shipyard’s past echoed in the design.

Using the latest in pressure sensitive LED technology, these panels are designed to  interact with club goers moves as well as D.J's sets. Special plug ins can be downloaded into the D.Js computer equipment allowing an entire set to be pre programmed where the music and lights work together. The panels are not restricted to work only on dance floors and can be fitted to walls, bar tops and ceilings.

blue frog lounge - mumbai









It's a 1,000-square-meter complex that includes a club, restaurant, lounge, sound stage, recording studio and sound lab, all encased within the massive walls of an old warehouse in Mumbai's mill district. Designers Chris Lee and Kapil Gupta of Serie (London and Mumbai) have managed to create a cohesive yet exciting space by stripping the visual cues down to a only a few very strong ones.
